Celebrities across the world are clearly lovers of the vintage style. Here are just a few of our favourites: Dita Von Teese This style icon has to be one of the queens of vintage clothing and accessories. She lives day to day dressing head-to-toe in vintage, driving classic cars, and even filling her home with antiques making her home “a mix of Art Deco meets Hollywood Regency with a dash of Victorian style”. She collects all sorts of vintage clothing and accessories from corsets to stockings. Dita has even amassed several hundred vintage hats over the years and they even have their own room in her house!

Engagement rings from the first half of the 20th century are considered estate jewelry; also know as vintage. Since vintage pieces are limited, these rings are a unique and special option for an engagement ring.     A design style first popularized in the 1920’s is the Art Deco style. The style was predominant for a couple of decades, and its influence lingered into the 1950’s.

Hi all. This has been a very busy week for us with wedding preparations under way for my daughter! Only a month to go now! Of course, we had to have the usual hen weekend frolics as part of the whole experience.  What a wonderful weekend we all had! We took part in a variety of activities including a ’fascinating’ vintage fascinator class, courtesy of ‘Silver Sixpence in her Shoe’ www.silver-sixpence-in-her-shoe.co.uk , and a vintage afternoon tea party with all the trimmings, courtesy of ‘And The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon’ www.dishandspoonfood.co.uk. Both companies came to our apartment and provided us with a fabulous 3 hours of fun and food whilst relaxing in comfortable surroundings and not having to step a foot outside – marvellous! Of course, the bubbly had to come out as well – but clearly that couldn’t be missed from the proceedings!

“Howard – a unique, affordable and fun wedding car” The VW camper was first introduced in 1950 and is now a popular choice for brides and grooms that want to arrive at their wedding in true fifties style.   Many of the VWs that you see at weddings are cream; however, Howard offers something a little bit different – he is painted red, has flames on the side and a lifeguard theme!                 Howard is the ‘coolest’ wedding hire VW in the North West.  As his theme suggests, he worked as a lifeguard for many years before being transformed into a beautiful and unique wedding vehicle.
