1950s Cookie Wedding Favours

When I saw these 1950s prom dress cookies I thought they were quite possibly the best favours ever for a fifties wedding.

One of my all-time favourite DIY wedding favours are home-baked cookies. In a see-through wrapping dressed with gorgeous ribbon to match your wedding theme, these are inexpensive little delights to dress up your wedding reception tables, and a lovely little gift for your guests.

Tempting Cake‘s fabulous fifties prom dress cookies would be perfect as little wedding favours. These hand iced beauties start at £2.50 per cookie, and as they are made to order can be designed just how you want them. Perhaps if your bridesmaids are in pink, you could have their cookie match their dresses?

Tempting cake is a London-based company who have quickly grown from a hobby to a successful business. As well as cookies, they bake beautiful wedding cakes and cupcakes – please see their website here for more details.

I particularly love the little 50s pearl details! If you think you’d like to attempt to make your own wedding favours, these cookie cutters below would be a good place to start. The gown cookie cutter is available from Cakes, Cookies & Crafts for £2.50. The lady gingerbread cookie cutter is from Kitchen Graft, available on Amazon for £1.27. However, to decorate your dresses you’ll need to be an expert at cake decorating, which is a difficult skill to master, but I’m sure you can have a lot of fun trying!
